Shenzhen is in Guang Dong Province. It is a young and very beautiful city. Because there are many wonderful beaches and famous parks. Now, it is famous for its tourism. This year, Shenzhen is going to hold the 26th Summer Universiade.
The 26th Summer Universiade will be held in August in 2011. Let’s learn something about it. Its main stadium is in Longgang District. Longgang District is in the east of the city. “Happy U” is the emblem of Shenzhen Summer Universiade. “U” has many meanings. It can mean “university”, “you”, “union”, “universe” and so on. “UU” is the mascot of the ShenZhen Summer Universiade. “UU” has a smile on her face. It is developed from the Happy U. Everyone is excited about the Universiade, because they can watch events at home or on the court. Boys like exciting events, such as Basketball, Football and Taekwondo. Located in the Central South of Guang Dong Province, Shenzhen is one of the Special Economic Zones in China. It was given the right of provincial-level economic administration in November 1988. Shenzhen is close to Hong Kong, which enables this city to communicate more with the rest of the world. This year, people in Shenzhen can have a wonderful experience because the 26th Summer Universiade is coming!
Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade will be held from August 12th to August 22nd in 2011. The main stadium is located in Longgang District, east of the city, about 15 kilometers from the city center.
As the emblem of Shenzhen Summer Universiade, “Happy U” consists of colored dots of varying size. “U” is meaningful as it may stand for “university”, “you”, “union”, “universe” or other words. 4.The 26th Summer Universiade
The whole world seems to be crazy about the coming Universiade, especially the people in Shenzhen; they are high-spirited because the 26th Summer Universiade is going to be held in the city! Shenzhen’s successful bid for the Universiade was based on the following elements: its superior geographical environment, its rapid economic development, its outstanding culture and art and its high-tech instry. University Games, World University Games, known as “Little Olympics”, is organized by the International University Sports Federation. Only college students and graates of not more than two years (age limit 17-28 years) have the right to participate in Universiade.
This year, Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade will be held from August 12th to August 22nd in 2011. The main stadium is located in Longgang District, east of the city, about 15 kilometers from the city center.
“Happy U”, the emblem of Shenzhen Summer Universiade, consists of colored dots of varying size, the emblem embraces diversity and innovation and is open to different interpretations. “U” is rich in meanings; it represents not only “university”, “you”, “union”, “universe” but also other things.
