The koala is an Australian animal. It has gray and brown fur. And the fur on its belly is white. Koalas eat, sleep in eucalyptus trees. They almost never get down the trees. They are active at night and sleep ring the day. People often think that koalas are friendly animals because they look very cute. But they may scratch people if they are not happy. They have sharp claws. So please be friendly to them. In the past, koalas were often hunted because of their beautiful, soft and thick fur.
