Where are you talking about? If you mean in the US, then my answer to you is that you'd better know where you are, in the city or outside the city. If you are in the city, especially those "dangerous" zones, never talk to somebody you don't know, always be alert to see if someone is approaching you (be together with friends and don't be alone). Always keep $50 cash with you. In case you get robbed, give the $50 cash to the robber. That may save your life.
