1. 作定语时，通常用sick。例如：Doctors have charge of the sick people.（医生负责照顾病人。）
2. 作表语时，可以用ill（英）或sick（美）。例如：She was ill (sick) for a week, and ring that week he ate nothing.（她病了一个星期，那期间里她什么也没吃。）
