译文 孔子说：“学了，然后按一定时间去温习它们，不也愉快吗?有朋友从远方而来，不也愉快吗?别人不了解我，我也不怨恨(恼怒)，不也是一个道德上有修养的人吗?”
Confucius says that is it a happy thing if you
review in the order of time after you have learned It or if there is a friend
of yours coming to visit you from the distance and am I genteel if I don’t resent it when others
don’t know about me?
2、子曰：“巧言令色，鲜矣仁。”
译文孔子说：“花言巧语、满脸堆笑的，这种人是很少有仁德的。”
Confucius says that he who has
a lot of artful talk in his mouth and an
artificial smile on his face is more likely to be less beneficent.
3、子曰：“君子食无求饱，居无求安，敏于事而慎于言，就有道而正焉，可谓好学也已。”
译文孔子说：“君子，饮食不求饱足，居住不要求舒适，对工作勤劳敏捷，说话却小心谨慎，到有道的人那里去匡正自己，这样可以说是好学了。”
Confucius says that a man is aspirant
when he has no many requirements in food and living condition but is laborious
and nimble in working as well as cautious in talking ,even to rectify himself from
those with morality.
4、子曰：“不患人之不己知，患不知人也。”
译文孔子说：“不忧虑别人不了解自己，但要忧虑自己不了解别人。”
Confucius says that don’t worry about
others’ unawareness of you, but your ignorance of others.
5、子曰：“《诗》三百，一言以蔽之，曰：‘思无邪。’”
译文孔子说：“《诗经》三百(零五)首，用一句话可以概括，即：‘思想纯正，没有邪恶的东西。’”
Confucius says that The Book of Songs which contains poems
of three hundred and five can be summarized in
a word, that is to keep your pure and just mind and clear away all the evil
things.
