在连接词里面，其实not only ……but also 是很高级的词汇。它是表并列与递进关系，它是不可替代的用法。它等同not …… but。

另外可以用其他连接词替代，如both and ，whether or，furthermore， moreover，as well as,，more than ……

例句：

She is smart as well as pretty. 她既聪明又漂亮。

Bill is both a good swimmer and a good cook. 比尔不仅是个游泳好手,而且是个烹调能手。
