The expression “Never, never give up” means to keep trying and never stop working for your goals. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” These are wise words. One should never give up. There is always another opportunity, another goal, or another option.
Once I ran for president of my class. Unfortunately, I lost. I lost because I did not promote myself enough. I looked at my mistakes and decided how to correct them. The following year, I ran for president again. This time I gave speeches, called voters on the phone, and banded out brochures. This time I won. Never give up. There is always another opportunity.
Once I wanted to study medicine. Unfortunately, I didn’t like science. I failed all my science courses at school. Then I realized that what I liked about medicine was helping people. I changed my goal from healing people to helping people. Now, I’m studying psychology. There is always another goal.
Once I wanted to talk with my friend. Unfortunately, his computer was down and I couldn’t e-mail him. His phone line was busy so I couldn’t call him. Mail would take too long so I couldn’t write him. Since I really wanted to talk with him. I got on the bus and went across town to visit him. There is always another option.
If you give up, you might as well die. My advice is to always look for another opportunity, another goal, or another option. There is always something else. Don’t give up.

What a nice song the radio is broadcasting! You're right, it's the song named "My Heart Will Go On". It was sung by the Canadian singing star Celine Dion for the film Titanic. Titanic is such a wonderful film. It received my prizes. I was once moved to tears by it.
It's a film about how the ship Titanic sank into the sea. It is very exciting. But I was more interested in the stars of the film, Jack and Rose's story. We can learn some deeper things from it.
After the ship hit an iceberg and sank into the sea. Jack and Rose, and many other people fell into the cold sea water. As the weather was getting colder and colder, they were stepping into death. Jack still asked Rose to promise him not to give up the hope of life. At last, Jack was dead, but Rose had a narrow escape, because she listened to Jack and didn't give up.
"Really? It seems so hard to believe," you may think.
Maybe once there were many successes just behind you, and if you hadn't given up, you would catch them easily. But you lost them, because you didn't hold on.
So never give up, even though there are many more difficult things waiting for you. Just face them heroically, and you will surely win.

Meanwhile, the sense of never giving up enhances one’s self-confidence. This makes one more likely to try new things, opening up even more new opportunities. Since I was a little child, I was taught that don't give up forever. My mother told me that teaching me how to walk was a tough task. When I just learned how to walked, I fell down frequently, but she or my father never helped me to stand up, because they wanted me to stand up by myself.
After fell down again and again, I finally learned walking. My parents were proud of me. Now, whenever I meet with a problem or get into trouble, no matter how hard the situation is, I rarely stop my step, because I have a faith in my mind that the most beautiful view will come in after the highest hill.
