“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
Imagination is the key to all knowledge. With no imagination, there would never be creativity. Creative, motivated people create and keep the worlds knowledge. What if Plato merely studied and never thought beyond?
Imagination is unlimited. It creates its own knowledge. It is also changeable and it can have layer upon layer of any dream or fantasy that one could wish for. It can transport a person to the furthest corners of the earth and keep you in any situation you love the most. It's all encompassing and always willing to yield to your deepest desires. It can be the most important place to live sometimes as well - in one's own imagination everything can be perfect.
The first point is that man can use analogies and metaphors that do not exist in the real world and yet make a point. For instance Jesus said if you have faith you can say to this mountain be cast into the sea. But in real world physics this cannot happen. What Jesus meant was that when you take up a possilbility that is covered with a mountain of unbelief, excuses, or even valid reasons for something not to be possible. When you remove all those things and all that is lfet is that the little real faith that remains in you then God can make the impossible become a reality. But it does take work to make it a reality.
