First, why not start talking to other people?
If you do this, you might find friends with the same interest as you. Your friendsand you must have some kind of similarity or attractiveness between your friends and you, if impossible, your friend and you will not have a common conversation ,nor share the common understanding. Then ,it would be really awkward if your friend and you are on different page.
Secondly, you should do some fun activities that interest both your friend and you.
That way, your friend and you can build relations and friendship. Activities that require parner work could increase partnership and friendship because both are contracting each other. This could also let your friend and you learn little things about you. For example, your favorite song, artist, book, teacher, etc.
Thirdly, it would be a good idea if your friend's parents and your parents know each other.
By doing this, you can have more time to spend with your friend. Your parents would be satisfied with your friend because they know each other, therefore they will be satisfied when you are with your friend. You can have sleep overs, invite each other to their house for games, have some long conversations, or even be there for each other if anyone need help.
