breaking off是现在分词作伴随状语，也就是she产生的另一个伴随动作。 to wipe是不定式作目的状语，break off 的目的是为了wipe tears.
句子是说，她讲述着她的故事，时不时地停顿去擦拭她眼里的泪水。追问感谢
