A population of 1,200,000 makes Ottawa the fourth-largest urban area in Canada. Ottawa has ranked sixth in the world in terms of its quality of life by the Corporate Resources Group, a Swiss-based management firm.
Toronto is the capital city of Ontario. Toronto is also the multicultural, entertainment, financial, and business capital of Canada. In Toronto there lives about 4.5 million people.

Montreal is a city with almost 2 million people. People in Montreal are very friendly and French-English 'bilinguality' is their mother tongue.
Montreal has a harsh winter which makes it great for winter sports. Luckily, Montreal gets around the winter problem with its underground corridors. This makes the city an alluring year-round tourist attraction - a winter wonderland ring the cold season. Summer in Montreal is quite short with long nights.
Victoria is located in British Columbia, Canada, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island with population of 300,000. Victoria is just a short ferry ride from the city of Vancouver. Victoria is British Columbia's capital city, and is well known worldwide for its comfortable temperate climate, stunning sun settings and wonderful Victoria visitor attractions. Be sure to visit the Victoria Butchart Gardens, Victoria Butterfly Gardens and Royal British Columbia Museum.
Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta (Canada), and is well known for its gorges sky, northern lights, scenic river valley and numerous art and music festivals. Population of Edmonton is over 800,000 and Edmonton Metropolitian Area population is close to one million; as of 2003. City of Edmonton Alberta is also home to the world's largest shopping and entertainment centre, named West Edmonton Mall. The West Edmonton Mall covers 5.3 million square feet on two levels.
City of Vancouver is a beautiful and vibrant city known for its world known attractions including Granville Island, Robson Street and Stanley Park. City of Vancouver is located on west coast of Canada with its population of about 600,000 (2003), but Vancouver's Greater Area counts about 2 million people. City of Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia and it is the third largest city in Canada.

Vancouver, always the favorite, won by taking a narrow majority in the second round of voting by International Olympic Committee (IOC) members against Pyeongchang after Salzburg was surprisingly eliminated in the first round.
The relatively unknown Asian candidate had been widely expected to place third in the opening ballot but took Vancouver surprisingly close, losing by just three votes -- 56 to Vancouver and 53 to the Koreans.
The Korean candidate led the first round with 51 votes to 40 for Vancouver and just 16 for Salzburg.
The Vancouver delegation at Prague's Hilton Hotel where the IOC were in session erupted in cheering and hooting as IOC president Jacques Rogge announced the result of the vote.
Canadian prime minister Jean Chretien, a member of the Vancouver delegation, said: "I'm sure that the 2010 Games will be extremely exciting but there was a lot of uncertainty about the thing.
"There were rumors coming that we were doing well and then not well and one that they had already announced South Korea had won. It's terribly nerve racking but it's the thrill of being in it."
Vancouver will bring the Winter Games to Canada for only the second time and the first since 1988 when Calgary staged the event. Canada also staged one Summer Games -- in Montreal in 1976.
It will be the 21st Winter Games to be held and the sixth in North America.
