repair 及 fix 解作「维修」或「修补」的中文意思时 (动词)
大致上是相同的. 例如: We need someone to repair / fix the roof after the typhoon. Can we help them to repair / fix the broken friendship? 但有时 fix 会配合 up 来使用的; repair 则不用
例如: Nick loves fixing up old cars. (不是 repairing up) repair 有时可配上 under 在前面使用; fix 则不用
例如: The lift is under repair
so we have to walk upstairs. (不是 under fix) 维修员是 repairman
却不是 fixman. (Fixman 是姓氏或公司名称) dictionary.cambridge
