TopCoder (R) just launched the TopCoder Computational Thinking Idea Contest and we're counting on you for BIG ideas!
We are interested in creating one or more new types of competitions that would appeal to grade school level kids (~ ages 12 through 18) who may not yet have discovered an aptitude or appreciation for mathematics or computer programming.
Back in December, we asked for some ideas along the same lines in this forum thread and got some good ideas: http://forums.topcoder.com/?mole=Thread&threadID=659292
We decided to run an idea generation contest for some more great stuff and will be giving away up to five prizes of $300 each for the idea submissions that we believe are good enough for us to actually follow through and build out.
