1)“have (something) to do with…”表示“与…有关”，（something可有可无）。比如：have (something) to do with me——与我有关。
2)我觉得一般好像是说“make a promise",表示“许下诺言”。比如：You have to make a promise——你必须作出承诺。你说的"make promises"指许下很多诺言，当然也可以。比如：She always makes promises in profusion.——她总是作过多的承诺。另外，我们说信守诺言可以说“keep a promise"，违背诺言可以说"break a promise"。
3)"for this reason"表示“以此，为此”，比如：For this reason, I can not come with you.——为此，我不能和你一起来。也可以使用从句的方式，比如：It is for this reason that I can not come with you.如果说，你想强调具体的一个原因，建议你说“by reason of"，表示“由于”。
