1、修饰的词不同。

too much修饰不可数名词。如：too much water太多水。

too many修饰复数可数名词。如：too many apples太多苹果。

2、用法不同。

（1）too many中心词是many，用法与many相同，用来修饰复数可数名词。例如：

There are too many books in the bookshop .

书店有太多书。

（2）too much中心词是much，用法与much相同，用来修饰不可数名词。例如：

There is too much water on the ground .

地上有太多水。

1、There were too many other demands on his loyalty now.

现在还有太多其他的事情也要求他忠心。

2、I am rather chary of making too many idiotic mistakes.

我小心翼翼避免犯太多的愚蠢错误。
