一、take part in/join in只能接 something或者doing sth.，要接sb.得是join in with sb.；而 join既可以是join something，还可以是join somebody for something或者join sb. in doing sth。
1、He started to sing and I joined in.

2、You have to join the party at grass-roots level.
你得参加基层党组织。
