通常在涉及法律方面的句子内，procure在获取，弄到的基础上再上升一个层次可以翻译为牟取通过诱使（某人）而得到.....或者通过收买等方式得到....如果意思再中性一点有谋取，设法搞到的意思，某些地方还表示为：对...担保，保证..成功获取

对于procure，大家知道，其基本含义是“获得/取得（难以获得/取得的东西）”；

而procure that却非常特别，是英语合同中特有的句型，通常译为“使得”或“确保”。

具体到我们合同翻译而言，procure that经常出现的合同类型并不是很固定，在股东协议（shareholder agreement）中出现，在定期租船合同（time charter party）中也有出现，以下有两个例子，可以体会一下该句型使用的语言环境。学会使用它，能让译文增色不少：

The Shareholders agree to take all necessary action (including without limitation exercising all voting and other rights and powers available to them to procure the amendment of the Memoranm and Articles) to procure that the provisions of this Agreement have full force and effect (other than against the Company).
