Natural Resources
Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, is located in the belt within 125°42′E to 130°10′E and 44°04′N to 46°40′N and situated in the northeast of China and in the south of Heilongjiang Province, the main terrain of which is flat, low-lying, however, in the east 10 counties directly under which there grow lots of mountains and uplands.

Besides, such as, apple trees, grape trees and so on, these temperate trees still grow over here. On the other hand, Harbin is affluent in vegetation resources, the various species of which mainly contains alga vegetation and moss vegetation bearing the portraits of concentrated scattering and high economic profits. Such rare medical materials as wild Panax, tuckahoe, earthworm, amboyna and etc., are famous in the internal and external sphere. Another series of vegetation to mention is surely wild edible vegetation with the inclusion of fern, tender bud, a mass of filbert mushroom, agarics and etc.. One more species of vegetation is more than 130 sorts of wild flowers adorning the blackland Chipewyan. Geography

Climate
Harbin is located in north Temperature Zone. The annual average temperature, the highest monthly average temperature and the lowest monthly temperature is 3.5 degree, 23.2 degree and -15.8 degree respectively, and the annual rainfall is 462mm.
History
Harbin, the cradle hand of China Jin Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, has a century old history. There are 40 nationalities living in this beautiful land now, including Han nationality and many other minorities.
Harbin used to be an international trade city in the beginning of 20th century; at the time, there are 16 countries’ consulates and over 30 foreign trade companies settling here and more than 60 thousand foreigners from 18 countries living there. In the past few years, Harbin had become the biggest open city in Northeast China.
Delicacies
Harbin is located in the south of Heillongjiang province and has been influenced by the neighboring country Russia. With its abundant animals and plant resources, Harbin people have developed different kinds of delicious foods, including country food, wild animals and vegetable food, Russian style western food. The food materials includes fowls, beasts, wild vegetables and fishes, such as fly-dragon, bear paw, monkey-head mushroom and salmon.
The traditional Russian food, such as “Lieba bread” “Saca bread” and “Lisi” sausage are all unique foods of Harbin in China.
Harbin beer was born in 1900, which is the earliest beer in China. Harbin is also the second biggest bear consumption city in the world.
Shopping
White birth bark art procts are unique artwork all over the world. It combines Chinese minority’s traditional handcraft culture and the modern art theory perfectly. It is the representative of Heilongjiang province ethical artworks.
