Ten Mile Village, located in the upper reaches of the Shanyang River in Shanyang County, is characterized by a shallow mountain valley terrain. A majority of the area, 75%, is composed of mountainous regions, while the remaining 25% consists of river valleys. The southern hills are steep and majestic, contrasted with the gentler slopes of the northern hills.
Soil composition:</The area is predominantly dominated by white sand, red sand, and red-blotch soil, with black sand soil making up a smaller portion. The village's name, Ten Mile Shop, origins from the ancient relay station, "Feng Shop."
Historically, in February 1950, the Shanyang County People's Government established the administrative divisions, setting up Zhangjianjian and Mogou Townships under the Eighth District (Urban outskirts). However, in November 1958, these two townships were merged, forming the Ten Mile Shop Proction Management Zone, affiliated with the红旗 (Urban郊区) People's Commune. This arrangement continued until August 1961 when it was renamed the Ten Mile Shop People's Commune. Further administrative changes followed in 1984, transforming it into the Ten Mile Shop People's Government.
The process of regional restructuring in April 1997 ring the county-level consolidation saw Ten Mile Shop Village maintain its original administrative setup. Currently, the village is home to a population of 22,397 indivials. [1]

十里乡位于广西壮族自治区玉林市容县中部地区，乡*驻地距县城5公里。下辖12个村民委员会。全乡有农户9305户，总面积142平方公里，总人口37683人。辖区总面积16.70万亩 ，耕地面积2.22万亩，有林地面积15.12万亩。农村经济总收入18108万元，全乡有乡镇企业470个，年地方财政收入253 万元，农民人均纯收入1768元。主要特产有玉桂、沙田柚。水田1.785万亩，旱地0.4万亩，林地15.3万亩。
