If I met an injured dog, I would bring him(suppose it's a boy) to a vet and let him recovered from the pain. In case I couldn't afford to do so, at least I would give him a pat with care or offer him some food. You will feel amazing how it can cheer the poor thing up. If I even couldn't do all those above, I will just quickly pass from him and hope someone with kind heart may help him later somehow. But, now the thing is, lots of people hurt him even more after he got injured, tease the poor thing or throw stones towards him. That's not the right way to treat a life and no living things deserve such a cruel treatment. We shall all remember: be a creature on the earth, we are equally sharing this world. Be kind to other living things, it's also a kindness for ourselves.
我不喜欢用it来指代动物，但是如果你需要的话可以把him改成its，he改成it:-)
