yo mama（your mother,你妈妈）joke是通过辱骂对方母亲来闹着玩以达到羞辱对手的目的，通常以“Your mother(你妈妈）”开头，根据不同地方的方言，很很多变种，比如：”yo mama”, “yo momma”, “yer ma”, “ya mum”, “your mum” or “your mom”，后面一般接“so…(that)…”句型。so之后是贬义的形容词，可以从很多方面辱骂对方的母亲，像形容体型、肤色、年龄、愚蠢、懒惰的词都有，后半句根据前面的形容词引出一个夸张的说法。例如：
Yo mama so fat every time she walks in high heels, she strikes oil!
你妈太胖了，每次她穿高跟鞋，都会钻出石油！
