时间状语从句是表示时间的从句作状语，其他类推。如：
When we got there,the train had left.当我们到那儿时，火车已经开走了。（时间状语从句）
“火车已开走”的时间是“我们到那儿”。从句修饰谓语动词（动作）“开走”。
Tony didn't come to school today because he's ill.
没来上学的原因是病了，或者说病了是没来上学的原因。从句修饰谓语didn't come to school。追问能否9个各举一个例子，英语语法不是太好，其他几个也不是太懂是怎么一回事，只知道有这么几种状语从句，但是具体怎么修饰动词就不知道了
