拿、取（通常是没有经过允许）

例：You took the last cookie?

你拿走了最后一块饼干吗？

例：Your dog is about to take your lunch.

你的狗就要吃掉你的午餐了。

2. take 接受

例：Does this restaurant take credit cards?

这家餐厅接受信用卡吗？

All the teachers took a 5% pay cut.

所有老师都要接受5%减薪。

3. take 拿走、带走

Cause something to go to another place 表示移动某物去某处

例：I should have taken an umbrella to the office.

我应该要带雨伞去办公室。

例：That bus will take you to the airport.

那辆公车会带你去机场。

4. take 手执、抓、握

例：Can you take my bag for a second?

你可以帮我拿一下包包吗？

例：Take this pen and write your name.

5. take 表示从事、进行的意思

6.  take after (someone) 与某人相像

to resemble someone else (in behavior, or features, or career, etc.)

表示在行为、面貌、职业等方面与某人相似

例：She takes after her father.

她跟他爸很像。

例：I hope the kids don’t take after their grandmother.

我希望那些小孩不要像他们的祖母一样。

7. take someone / something on 接受、承担（表示接受挑战）

例：If you threaten him, he’ll take you on.

如果你威胁他，他会接受挑战的。

例：I’m taking on some new responsibilities at work.

我接受了工作上一些新的责任。

8. take something back 取回某物

例：I need to take back that sweater.

我需要去拿回那件毛衣。

例：Have you taken back those shoes?

鞋子拿回来了吗？

9. take something back 收回声明

to cancel a previous statement (often because you made a mistake)

表示取消先前的声明（通常是你做错了，要承认错误的情况）

例：You should take back what you said about her.

你应该要收回刚刚对他说的话。

例：Our manager took back her ments about our design when she saw how successful it was.

10. take care of *** /sth 照顾、照料

take care 后面的介系词是 of ，of 后面可以接人或是事物，也就是去照顾某人或是照料某件事的意思。

例： I can take care of her. 我可以照顾她。

例： Don’t worry about me, I can take care of myself. 别担心我，我能照顾好自己。

例： Take care of my brother and sister. 照顾我兄弟姐妹。
