2. 并列连词并列连词用来连接具有并列关系的词、短语或句子。常见的并列连词有：

(1)表并列(联合)关系的and, both A and B, not only A but also B, neither A nor B等。

He can play boththe piano and the guitar. Not onlyyou but also hewants to go hiking.

(2)表选择关系的or, either A or B , neither A nor B等。并列主语时，动词就近原则。

Either you or he hasto go. = Either he or you haveto go. Neither you nor he is right. = Neither he nor you areright.

(3)表转折关系的but, while, yet等。 She tried hard to catch up with the others, but she failed.

He is deaf, yet he seems to understand what we’re talking about. It is very cold in the north, while it is hot in the south.

(4)表因果关系的for, so, then, therefore等。 It is morning, for the birds are singing. It was late, so I went home.
