憨厚、可爱的白鳍豚， 被人们称为“长江女神”、“水中大熊猫”、“活化石” ，也是我国目前最濒危的国家一级保护动物。它全身灰白，体态优美，呈流线型。眼睛很小，嘴似长剑，背鳍为三角形，尾鳍又大又扁。圆圆的鼻孔长在头顶，非常像海豚。在水中，它游动时和鱼类一样，十分的灵活，那急速穿行于波涛之中的身影令人惊叹不已。
可是，我们的“长江女神”现在并不快乐，她的眼泪在浑浊的江水中飞洒，她的视觉也变得像江水般浑浊，常常被噪音吵得晕头转向，撞到船舶的螺旋桨上死亡，在一片电光中丧生。他们的家园充满恶臭和肮脏。长江不再是白鳍豚的家园，人类已成为白鳍豚的天敌。
由于生态环境受到很大破坏，长江白鳍豚现存量已不到一百头，如不有效保护，白鳍豚将会在二十年后从地球上消失。难道长江白鳍豚将要在二十年之后重演恐龙灭绝留给人类的遗憾吗？面对这种情况，我要大声疾呼：“爱惜我们共有的家园，保护生态环境，保护野生动物，就是保护人类自己啊！”
为了“长江女神”不再哭泣，让我们共同保护浩浩长江不受污染，更加爱惜我们的朋友，更加爱惜我们共有的家园吧！
