The Silk Road is a commercial trade route of the ancient China.
The Silk Road started from the ancient capital,Changan,as the center of the politics, economy,and cultures,and stretch all the way to Central Asia,North Africa and Europe.
It started as the export of silk which is made in China.
As time went by, the Silk Road graally became a main road that connected the East and the west and promoted economic and cultural exchanges between the East and the west.
Later, all the trade routes that linked the China with the West were collectively referred to as the Silk Road by some scholars.
