Liang Shiqiu (January 6, 1903 - November 3, 1987), formerly known as Liang Zhihua, the word real autumn, pen name Zijia, Qiulang, Cheng Shu, etc., Hangzhou Hangxian (now Hangzhou), born in Beijing, China famous Modern and contemporary essayists, scholars, literary critics, translators, the first domestic study of Shakespeare's authority. He has been fighting with Lu Xun and other left-wing writers. His life has left more than 20 million words in the Chinese literary world, and his collection of essays has created the highest record of the publication of modern Chinese prose works. The masterpiece "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" (translation).
In August 1923, he went to the United States to study abroad and obtained a master's degree in literature from Harvard University. After returning to China in 1926, he successively taught at National Southeast University (predecessor of Southeast University), National Qing University (now China Ocean University , and the predecessor of Shandong University) and served as the head of the Department of Foreign Languages. In 1949, he went to Taiwan and was a professor of English at the Taiwan Normal University. On November 3, 1987, he died in Taipei at the age of 84.
