Abstract
The Chinese attaches great importance to food and cuisine, in that it should look nice, smell good and taste delicious, focusing on the color, the flavor and the taste of the food, to enhance the enjoyment and pleasure it brings to both the senses of seeing and tasting.
In pursuit of "looking nice", it involves an aesthetic feeling, which is what we ususally term as "a sense of beauty". It is the subjective sense of aesthetics from the human being, and a feeling as well as the spiritual delightedness. A sense of aesthetics is the psychological basis for creating beautiful things. Accoring to Nikolai Chernyshevsky, the famous Russian writer, "Beauty is the major theme of life." The Chinese sense of aesthetics about food and cuisine concerns mainly with the shape of food, the environment in which the food is taken, the utensils and culteries used during the food production and food eating process, and flavor of the food and the name given to it.
The sense of aesthetics of food is a basic element displaying the glamour of the Chinese food and cuisine culture, which resides in every aspect of the cuisine culture in China. The aesthetic thinking of the Chinese people focuses not only on the form and shape of the food, but more importantly, how to demonstrate an unlimited spiritual world by virtue of the limited ways of expression; and how to reach a combination of enjoyment of materialistic and spiritual world, utilizing the exterior design of food package in food producing industry. Extending to the exhibition of the modern ideology in cuisine culture are the elements in package designs, including color, diagrams, characters and shapes, which perfectly demonstrate flavor, smell and taste of the food that are contained, displaying a seamless match between the exterior package and the food packed.

Abstract
Chinese emphasizes on color, flavor and taste trilingual in food and cuisine. The color means a good and elegant looking; flavor a sweet smelling and the taste a delicious feeling. Put these three together, it means the food must be good looking and have a delicious taste to let the people eat enjoy on both senses of seeing and tasting.
For pursuing a good looking, the aesthetic sense plays an important role. Aesthetic sense is the one people usually talking about, the feeling, the experience and enjoyment to a beauty. It also is the one from it people can create beauty. Chernyshevsky, the Russian writer, had a famous saying “beauty is life”. Chinese dietetic aesthetic feeling can mainly be expressed from the food appearance, dining environment, serving utensils, the smell and the name of the food.
The dietetic aesthetic sense, as a basic connotation, is the fascination of the Chinese food and cuisine. It exists in every section of the whole activity process. It is not simply the form we pay attention to, but how to express the infinite spirit world by limited forms. The goal of food package design is to combine the food itself and spiritual feeling together to realize the enjoyment in our life, it can be extended to the packing elements such as the color, diagram, character and shape etc. to reflect the color, flavor and taste of the inside food material, to reach the ultimate goal of perfect combination of inside and outside.
