It became a national festival in Tang dynasty and we still have celebrate activity today. Chong Yang Festival has a lot of customs, but its main idea is safety and integrated, it never change ring the 2000 years. Chinese government constituted Chong Yang Festival as the festival for the old in 1998 in order to advocate the society to respect and help the old people.
