Abstract
透镜通常是由透明物质（如玻璃、水晶等）制成的光学元件。常见的透镜有凸透镜和凹透镜两种。凸透镜具有会聚光线的作用，所以也叫“会聚透镜”或“正透镜”。
Lenses are such optical components that are usually made of transparent materials (e.g. glasses, crystals). The common lenses are divided into the convex lenses and concave lenses. The convex lenses are also referred to as the “converging lenses” or”positive lenses” since they can converge light.
在我国西汉时期成书的《淮南万毕术》中，有世界上最早的“冰透镜”记载。其后，晋朝张华的《博物志》中也有类似记载。
The world’s earliest “ice lenses” were recorded in the “Huainan Encyclopedia” compiled in China’s Western Han Dynasty. Similar records were later found in the “Historia Naturalis” written by Zhang Hua in the Jin Dynasty.
古代的冰透镜是如何“削”出来的？历史上没有定论。笔者通过冰透镜的制作和实验，对《淮南万毕术》中的记载进行验证，并对其中的一些问题作初步探讨。
How the ancient ice lenses were “cut”? There is no definite conclusion yet up to this day. After the cutting and experiment on the ice lenses, the author of this paper tests the recordings in the “Huainan Encyclopedia” and concts some preliminary explorations on some problems thereof.

Lenses are usually made of transparent substance such as glass, crystal, etc. for optical elements. Convex lens and concave lens are two tpyes of familiar lenses. A beam throgh convex lens will be converged (or focused), so the lens is also called a converging or positive lens.

在我国西汉时期成书的《淮南万毕术》中，有世界上最早的“冰透镜”记载。其后，晋朝张华的《博物志》中也有类似记载。古代的冰透镜是如何“削”出来的？历史上没有定论。
The earliest "ice lens" in the world was written in the book of "Huai Nan Wan Bi Shu" in the Western Han Dynasty. After that, similar records can also be found in the book of "Naturalis Historia" which was written by Hua Zhang of the Jin Dynasty. As for the conclusion of how did the ice lens to be "cut out" has not yet found in the history.

笔者通过冰透镜的制作和实验，对《淮南万毕术》中的记载进行验证，并对其中的一些问题作初步探讨。
Through experiment and making ice lenses, the author tried to test and verify what was written in the book of "Huai Nan Wan Bi Shu" and put forward preliminary dicussion on some concerning issues.

Abstract: The optical lens is the optical elements being made from transparent matter (if glass , crystal wait) generally. The common optical lens has the two kinds convex lens and concave lens. The convex lens has convergency light effect , therefore also, calls "the convergency optical lens " or "rectifies an optical lens ". Ten thousand Bi of Cheng Shu 's "Huai Nan City skills " are middle in our country Western Han Dynasty period , the earliest "ice optical lens " records that on having the world. Middle of Jin Chao Zhang China can't have similar afterwards, record that. How is the ancient ice optical lens to "chop" out? Do not have final conclusion in history. The author passes ice optical lens fabrication and experiment , recording "ten thousand Huai Nan City Bi skills " carries out verification on to hitting the target , problem does and first step investigation and discussion to a few among them.

Abstract: Lens are optical components made of transparent material, such as glass and crystal. Lens are devided into two types: one is convex lens and the other is concave lens. A convex lens can converge rays, and thus named converged lens, too. In the book of Huainawanbishu published in the West Han Dynasty, the earliest ice lens of the world was recorded. later on, in Jin Dynasty a similar cumentation was written in Zhanghua's book-Bowu. How was the ancient ice lens peeled? There is no conclution of that. Through the manufacture and experiment of ice lens, the record kept in Huannanwanbishu are varified and some problems are discussed preliminarily.
