1.He has to dece 【what he can】 from the few scanty clues available.

what he can 是从句，修饰dece

2.a novelist would bring his story to a conclusion by presenting his readers with a series of coincidence--most of them () wildly impossible.

不能加are，most of them wildly impossible 【happen】

3.He was persumed 【that he had been】dead.
可以这样说吗--He was persumed to have been dead,
不能这样说，要用had been
persume-----presume

become of (人或事物的)结果是；使遭遇。
What will become of those refugees?
那些难民会落得什么结果呢?

5.get stuck的意思：受骗，困住，陷入僵局。。。。。

6.It serves him right.结合语境翻译成他罪有应得,serves怎么体现了这个意思?
serve 有对待的意思
