because引导原因状语从句，即后面接完整的句子, because of 则是短语介词，后接名词，或者名词性短语.
就你的这句来看，I don't love you because of who you are是对的，请参考以下例句： I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

because of 接短语 。你想of 是介词，后面接名词、代词或动名词I。I don't love you because of who you are我爱你不是因为你是谁。
有些情况下两者皆可用。记住because 比 because of用途更广泛。。。
