1. you can use"so that"especially with can,could,will and would

We hurried so that we wouldn't be late.(=because we didn't want to be late)

I learn English so that I can talk to native speakers.

2.You can leave out that, so you can say:

We hurried so we wouldn't be late.

I learn English so I can talk to native speakers.

(Note that there are no commas before so that or so in these sentences)

so that/that：used as a function word to introce a subordinate clause expressing purpose or desired result

去翻译成汉语再去较真辨析没有意义，多看母语人是怎么用这些词的，很多母语人觉得有些词可以互相替换，很多是没有理由去解释的，都是习惯用法问题
