　　“across”介词，意为“横过”，常指从这边到另一边，即：“from this side to the other”，图形好像“十”字。over是从物体表面上方经过，不与物体接触。例如：The bird flew over the river。

二者用来表示‘on the other side of a line（在对面）’或‘to the other side of a line（到对面）’

run over是脚没踏在草坪上跑，应该是在桥之类的上面跑。run cross是踏着草地跑。

是啊，正是因为草地是平面，才不用across，它是横穿的意思，比如across the street ，穿过大街
