I am a candidate from Longyan, Fujian Province. I got 536 in the college entrance examination of 2013, which is 35 points more than the admission qualification of tier one universities in our province. I have been learning fine arts (including sketch, Chinese traditional painting and coloration) and I am fond of designing process. The reason why I choose your esteemed Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is that I really love your open democracy and your excellent ecational mode of being in line with international norms. I believe that this kind of teaching manner is concive to the students. They can reach their greatest potentials and enjoy more space to create their own castels of dreams in such an academic atmosphere.
建筑是我从小的梦想，因为在我的家族中，有人从事木匠、建筑材料销售、建筑材料运输••••••唯独没有建筑设计师。也许这只是巧合，大家一开始并没有想到全家都与建筑有关。所以，我从小就梦想可以成为一名建筑设计师，然后为疼爱我的奶奶建造一所充满亲情的房子，让她不会那么孤单。
Architecture has been my dream since I was a child because there has been no architect and designer in my family, although there are carpenters, sellers of building materials, people in charge of delivering building material and so on. Maybe it is a pure coincidence that all of us have not realized that all the family members have something to do with architecture.Therefore, my cherished dream when I was young was to be an architect so that I could build a house full of love for my grandmother who loves me so much and she would not be so lonely.
说道创作经历，并没有什么正规的成品，只是做作业或者课间的时候再草稿上的涂鸦，脑海里有些形象因为技术原因无法表达清楚，所以这更坚定了我学校建筑学的决心。我在学校当任宣传部*，为很多活动画过宣传海报，这也许算我最完整的创意作品了。但是我认为我还是一个热爱创作的人。
Regarding creative works, I am sadly lacking in formal finished procts. My performance on this aspect is restricted to some scribbling when I was doing my homework or ring breaks. Some images on my mind can not be clearly expressed e to technical reasons, which is the reason why I have confirmed my determination in learning architecture on your campus. I used to be the head of our propaganda department. And I made a lot of posters for different activities, which might be the most complete works with my creative minds involved. I still think I am strongly interested in creations.
我的家乡在红土地，这里最有特色的建筑就是土楼。小时候参观过，圆形的楼套楼，又可以防范外敌又有利于增进亲情。我认为中国目前需要的建筑师是能够将中国传统名居的优点特色与世界建筑的现代化与先进性完美融合的人。而且我个人认为建筑与自然的和谐共处，让建筑可以完全的融于自然是很重要的。我还喜欢写作，在校刊上发表过作品。也学习过电子琴和芭蕾，书法。

The soil in my hometown is red-colored and the most typical buildings here are the Hakka Earth Buildings. I visited such buildings when I was a child. Such kind of circular interconnected buildings can guard against enemies and strengthen affection between family members. I assume that China is in need of such kind of architects who can perfectly integrate the features of famous traditional Chinese dwellings with the modern and advanced characters of worldwide architecture. I also hold the opinion that architecture should be in harmony with mother nature and it is essential to let buildings be an organic part of nature. I also like writing articles and I published some works on school magazines. I have learnt how to play electronic organs and perform ballet as well as write beautiful handwriting.
