其实not only。。。but 的用法就像and 一样
可以前后可以连接两个同类型的词组或句子，只要词性相同就可以
举几个例子给你

但是要注意，not only。。。but 这个整体作主语是谓语动词或系动词要采取就近原则，就是看but后的单复数形式Not only my father but my mother loves me.
I love not only my father but my mother.
The flower boomed not only in but out of the garden.

not only…but（also）不但……而且……，also可以省略。
1、Yesterday it not only rained but (also) snowed.昨天不仅下雨，而且下雪。
2 Not only has he a clever brain, but he is also a very hard student.他不但有聪明的头脑，而且非常努力。（倒装用法）

是 not only…but also 不但。。。而且。。。Not only the students but also the teacher was invited. 不仅学生们被邀请，而且那位教师也被邀请了。
